Germany – well known for it’s big events
Some of them are the largest ones in the world. There are quite a handful of events held here in Germany and the neighboring places like Berlin, Dresden, Munich and other cities. You can attend a number of festivals and events in those:
Oktoberfest – the Festival in Munich
The Oktoberfest in Munich is a festival held each year in Bavaria. It is the largest (public) festival in the world, and it is attracting over six million visitors each year.
Traditionally, the Bavarian music and beer festival begins on the first Saturday after September 15th and lasts till the beginning of October.
There are lots of bands playing tradtional Bavarian music and many visitors wear the tradtional clothes: like the Lederhosen and the Dirndl. It also consists of lots of famous Bavarian beer served in a Maßkrug, a one litre volume glass drinking vessel with a handle and good food. It is also including fun and thrills from the amusement park with its Ferris wheel, merry-go-round, fairytale railway and many more.
But there are also many other Oktoberfest events around the world, including large ones in the United States, Canada and South America. Go and visit the original one!
Festival of Lights – Berlin
The Festival usually takes place at the end of October and lasts around ten days. Then Berlin will glint as a range of projections light up more than 45 famous landmarks and spaces. Including famous ones like the Brandenburg Gate, TV Tower, the Gendarmenmarkt and many more. We will do the lightseeing tours by Sports Car or just swap on the boat to experience the illuminations of squares and buildings up close.
German Christmas Markets
Draped in shimmering snow and illuminated by canny festive glow, the charming German Christmas Markets attract visitors from all over the globe. Tempting aromas, wonderful German Christmas Songs and delicious food. But Germany’s Christmas markets will appeal to even more of your senses. Pretty famous as well are the traditional crafts specially the colourful wooden toys.
The Christmas markets are also known for their festful baked treats, the Glühwein and delicious regional specialities. Most popular for visitors are Nuremberg’s Christkindlesmarkt and the Striezelmarkt in Dresden.
Choose from more than 150 of the most beautiful Christmas markets in Germany.
New Year’s Eve Party in Berlin
New Year’s Eve at the symbol of unity in Berlin has become more than just a celebration – it’s a global tradition.
